I am Barbara, born in New York to Italian immigrants. At the age of 16, my father decided to return to Italy, where we started a restaurant. After 25 years my parents decided to retire and I converted the complex into a B&B. Now I pamper my guests and make sure they have an unforgettable holiday. The name Scacco Matto (Checkmate) was chosen because my father was a great chess player.
